| Step |
Stream Projects’ involvement |
| Video shoot |
Our client’s audiovisual provider typically shoots the video, but we can provide this service for local and smaller projects |
| Video capture |
Video is captured to a non-linear edit suite |
| Video edit |
Presentations are trimmed and housekeeping discussions are removed |
| |
All other unwanted or unnecessary items are removed (we typically achieve this without the need for client involvement) |
| |
We often edit from two cameras to ensure that something useful is on screen at all times; this is particularly important for panel discussions and question-and-answer sessions |
| |
Captions are added when presenters change during a single presentation and video/audio is enhanced where necessary |
| Audio edit |
Microphone levels are adjusted and standardised |
| Encoding |
We encode to multiple bandwidths as standard to ensure users can see the content regardless of their connection speed |
| Transcription |
The audio is professionally transcribed and checked against the slides |
| Proofreading |
The transcripts are proofread and the language used is ‘cleaned up’; this is especially useful when English is not a presenter’s first language or when complex topics are being covered |
| Translation |
Translation to other languages is an optional step |
| Additional slide creation |
Our medical editor/writer can create additional slides – for example to support questions and answers and ad hoc discussions during a presentation |
| Presentation conversion |
PowerPoint files are converted to Flash vector files, which are scalable and of high quality; importantly, we do not convert to low-quality JPEGs |
| Presentation proofing |
Presentation proofing is an optional service that is often helpful when changes to presentations are made onsite at the last moment |
| Presentation optimisation |
We specialise in optimising presentations to improve bandwidth use while retaining quality; it is amazing how small we can make presentations compared with the original PowerPoint file! |
| Presentation enhancement |
Enhancing presentations is an optional step that involves just a few more hours’ tidying to make a presentation better for on-demand display |
| Synchronisation |
Slides and videos must be synchronised to maximise the impact of a presentation’s content; we take great care to ensure that slides and video are synchronised…some producers do not |
| Synchronisation point optimisation |
Users can move around i-meeting presentations by slide title, so slide synchronisation points need to be in exactly the right place; this step allows us to correct early or late changes to slides that presenters often make during live shows |
| Presentation/presenter details |
Information about the presentation and presenter is added for each presentation |
| Brand |
All i-meeting solutions can be re-branded to the client’s requirements |
| Customise menus |
Menus enable conferences and large meetings to be logically broken into groups of presentations for quick and easy navigation |
| Add value / information |
This optional step allows additional content, such as quizzes and feedback, to be incorporated |
| Deploy |
We offer a number of deployment options: physical meia such as CD-ROM or online either client self-hosting, our hosting or just the video streaming by Stream Projects |
